distinguished¡¡friend¡¡of¡¡the¡¡President£»¡¡Mr¡£¡¡Thomas¡¡A¡£¡¡Hendricks¡£¡¡¡¡The
purpose¡¡of¡¡his¡¡coming¡¡was¡¡to¡¡convey¡¡to¡¡me¡¡assurances¡¡of¡¡the¡¡very¡¡high

During¡¡the¡¡whole¡¡period¡¡that¡¡I¡¡commanded¡¡in¡¡Louisiana¡¡and¡¡Texas¡¡my
