Murdock¡¡had¡¡doubtless¡¡heard¡¡of¡¡Watt's¡¡original¡¡speculations£»¡¡and

construct¡¡a¡¡model¡¡locomotive¡¡after¡¡a¡¡design¡¡of¡¡his¡¡own¡£¡¡¡¡This
