street　emptied。　

　　　　　The　　　driver　　　of　　　the　　　auto　　　sped　　　his　　　machine　　　without　　　a　　　word。　　　He　　　was　

masked　beyond　guess　in　the　goggles　and　diabolic　garb　of　the　chauffeur。
